Welcome to Spring Willows Farm! Horses are an enormous investment for their owners. Not only do you invest your time and money in your horse, but you also invest your emotions. At Spring Willows Farm we fully appreciate your investment in your equine athlete. We are committed and dedicated to giving each horse the individual care he or she needs to be their best--whether that will be returning to racing after a layoff, going to the breeding shed, competing in horse shows, or any other career you have planned for your horse. We understand that each horse is an individual and we customize a program for each horse based on his or her individual needs.
As
the owner/manager for Spring Willows Farm,
I live on the premises and am fully dedicated
and committed to giving your horse the
best care possible. We have a peaceful,
serene environment that horses find very
relaxing and comfortable. Spring Willows
Farm is a great place for your horse to
have a little vacation or to recupperate
after an injury. I have plenty of experience
in caring for injured horses and horses
with special needs. We are proud to work
closely with the outstanding equine professionals
Dr. Marc Miles, DVM from Southern Illinois
Equine Clinic and John Stedelin, a Certified
Jouneyman Farrier ( please see here
to contact them for additional information
on the excellent services they provide).
Horses have always been my life’s passion--from the time I was very young. I started riding, taking formal lessons, and competing in hunter/equitation at the age of six. Growing up I was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in both 4-H and Pony Club programs, where I learned invaluable information in horse care and stable management. Since those days, I have primarily worked with thoroughbreds having worked at the racetrack and, more recently, at a thoroughbred training and breeding facility. I have also owned horses since the mid 1980’s.
We’ve had the farm since 2005 and during that time our family has turned it into a beautiful, safe environment for horses. My dad, Jim Hull, is our CFO (title only as I make the decisions … but don’t tell dad! ☺). He handles all the maintenance on the farm and keeps everything working smoothly. (This is a third “gig” for dad. He served 26 years on active duty in the Marine Corps, retiring as a Colonel. He also had a very successful corporate career.) My mom, Karen Hull, handles all of the landscaping and keeps the farm looking great. Both of my parents have been huge supporters of my horse obsession from the very beginning. Without all of their help, support and insight Spring Willows Farm would not have become a reality. My sister, Michelle, is also a huge help, as I rely on her input on many of my ideas as well.
We look forward to assisting you with all of your equine needs and making your equine venture a successful one!
Best Wishes and Kindest Regards,
Christine Hull
